Trent International works with select educational agencies that demonstrate professionalism, ethical standards, and a strong commitment to supporting prospective students.
This application helps us understand your services and how you support students and partners. It takes about 30 minutes to complete. All information is confidential and used only by Trent University.
Applications are reviewed within 4–6 weeks, and you will be contacted with the outcome and next steps.
To ensure strong partnerships and student support, Trent University is selective in appointing new educational agencies. Our selection criteria include:
Experience working with Canadian public universities is preferred.
References from Canadian public institutions are recommended; however, we may consider other relevant experience.
Professional accreditation (e.g., ICEF, British Council, IRCC) and relevant certifications are an asset.
Agencies must hold valid business licenses to legally operate in their respective countries or regions.

Trent University expects all partner agencies to uphold the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. We broadly adhere to the principles outlined in the London Statement, which include:
Practicing responsible business ethics
Providing accurate, current, and honest information in an ethical manner
Establishing transparent business relationships with students and institutions through written agreements
Protecting the interests of minors
Offering up-to-date information to help students make informed decisions when choosing an agent or consultant
Acting in a professional manner at all times
Collaborating with institutions and destination countries to promote ethical standards and best practices
Additionally, partner agencies must represent Trent University in good faith and avoid any actions or behaviours that could damage the university’s reputation or credibility.

Please submit three references from a combination of the following:
Higher education institutions your agency currently partners with. Preference is given to Canadian public colleges or universities with which you have an active relationship (minimum 2 years or have previously sent students). If no Canadian partners are available, institutions from your region of operation are acceptable.
Students you have supported who are currently enrolled at a public college or university in Canada or abroad.
You may submit:
2 institutional references and 1 student reference, or
2 student references and 1 institutional reference.
To support the reference check process, please ensure your references are aware we may contact them approximately one week after your application is submitted.
